Here are some photos of my weekend at the catastrophe with some of my buddies. As you can see, we were very serious about the security of the north end of that scene. We were down on the river banks and the Coast Guard gave us boat rides around the south end of the bridge. Up close this thing is ominous and haunting. When they allow the public better access, I would recommend a visit before it's all torn apart. Ofcourse, the weekend would have been better if I had made it through without the caste on the broken thumb from the ATV stunts. I'll be working 3 day weeks until after labor day thanks to this caste. If anyone can think of something I could do to kill the boredom, let me know.
I think this is great
Hi everyone I think this is a great idea. We just got back from the cabin. Shannon, CC, Dick and I. It was a great time. Went on the nature walk with CC. She kissed and hugged all the animals. Had margaritas every night. Even did Friday night fish fry. Hard to get back into work. Danielle, did you invite the extended family to do this. Also Dick has an email address now at work. rbarron@gladstoneswindow.com I especially love the pictures.

Good idea sweety
The father of the 3 Kings checking in on my smart wife's blog. I hope this catches on and we have some fun with it. It was easy to set up a the ability to post and it takes about 30 seconds. Some of you may have heard this already, for for those of you that don't pay attention to current events, the 35W bridge over the Mississippi River fell down during Coleman's 10th birthday party last week. And although I was unable to go save people that night because of the wine and the beer and the partying for Coleman's big #10, I was called into service for 12 hour days throughout the weekend. I'll figure out how to post pictures tonight with that smart wife and show them to you. Anyway, while protecting that bridge I had an unfortunate accident of my own when I fell off of a department issued Polaris 4-wheel ATV. I sacrificed 4 weeks of use of one opposable thumb for the security of that bridge yesterday. I would do it all over again if I had to. Anyway, that's what's going on in my world this week. Anyone else care to share.

My am turning 3!!
Let's Get Started
Okay everyone, here we go. I started this blog so that we could keep track of all the stuff going on in the family. You all are welcome to post about anything you want to share with the group. For example, you're having a dinner at your house - post the date, time, and anyone other pertinent info. You could also post pictures from the event after it has taken place. Another example, you just got back from vacation and want to share some stories and pictures with the group. You have all been invited to become authors, let me know if you have any problems posting. I think this will be a fun way to keep in touch, let me know if you have any ideas to make it better.
